- Abstract
The article provides information on a study which examined the uptake potential of differentially polarized human macrophages for silica nanoparticles by employing fluorescently labeled particles. Topics discussed include the types of nanomaterials that have shown to induce inflammatory responses both in vitro and in vivo, human monocyte-derived macrophages (MDM), and human alveolar and tumor-associated macrophages (AM/TAM).
