- Abstract
Patients with locked-in syndrome may have retained mental capacity to make decisions about their care and it is important that healthcare professionals prioritise communication rehabilitation. Here, Sarah Carrington and Jonathan Birns describe how they established capacity in a patient with incomplete locked-in syndrome and helped him to communicate his current wishes regarding his treatment.
