The article highlights the use of Leukemic stem cells (LSCs) in the development of relapse in young acute myeloid leukemia patients. Topics discussed include use of LSCs in the diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia with the help of cell surface antigens and its treatment; information on prognostic impact of the LSC; and differentiation of LSCs on the basis of cell surface molecules using cytometry.
