- Abstract
The article analyzes a possible relationship between glucose metabolism and immune cell infiltration in renal cell carcinoma (RCC). An adverse correlation between glucose-transporter 1 (GLUT-1) expression and the number of CD8 T cells in RCC lesions is observed. A low infiltration of CD8 effector T cells is suggested to be associated with an accelerated glucose metabolism in RCC tissue. A table showing clinical and pathological features of RCC patients used for tissue microarray (TMA) construction is presented.
