- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 26-year-old Japanese male patient with a history of mucocutaneous erythema, which was consistent with the diagnosis of generalized bullous fixed eruption induced by tonic water. The diagnosis was confirmed after subjecting the patient to physical examination, laboratory test and histopathological assay. It is suggested that the high rate of mucosal involvement may lead to erythema multiforme majus, Behcet's disease, herpes simplex and Steven-Johnson syndrome.
