- Abstract
The article presents insights from various people on how to prevent and treat coagulopathy in patients undergoing massive blood transfusions. D. Fries states that massive bleeding is characterized by ⩽100% of the blood volume of the patient in 24 hours. According to H.Gombotz, treatment of massive bleeding constitute of resuscitation, massive transfusion regimen, coagulation management, and consolidation.
