The article focuses on the study on the sex and racial differences in bladder cancer presentation and mortality in the U.S. between 1990-2005. The study, with data from the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results limited-use database, explores the significant deviation in tumor characteristics and age at presentation from bladder cancer among women and African American patients. Details of the study are highlighted, citing the factors that impacted the country's bladder cancer mortality.
