The Bartlett Pocket Guide to HIV/AIDS Treatment (14) and The Medical Management of HIV Infection (15), now in their 19th and 17th editions, respectively, remain the definitive textbooks on HIV clinical care. He was the driving force for creating a dedicated HIV inpatient ward and an HIV/hepatitis outpatient clinic, which has now been named after him as the John G. Bartlett Specialty Clinic, known for providing the best care for patients with HIV and hepatitis infections.
