- Abstract
The article presents a systematic review of various studies on the role of prostate cancer antigen 3 (PCA3) in the management of prostate cancer. In comparing various studies, the researchers found that PCA3 outperforms prostate-specific antigen (PSA) with sensitivity and specificity tests reaching 82% and 76% versus 87% and 16%, respectively. It highlights the recent research results which demonstrated the association of PCA3 to the other new biomarkers and improvement of diagnostic accuracy.
