- Abstract
In this article, the author discusses a research related to the patterns of use of prophylaxis for patients admitted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as they were suffering with stress related mucosal disease. Topics discussed include stress ulcers, proton pump inhibitors, and educating physicians and implementing hospital protocols could improve the usage of patterns. Other topics discussed include American Society of Healthcare Pharmacists, and underutilization.
