- Abstract
The article offers information about a case of severe hypoglycemia during fusidic acid therapy. It presents a case of a man aged 53, obese with type 2 diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, retinopathy and hypertension and developed osteomyelitis of the left distal tibia. It explains that hypoglycemia in acute renal failure may be a result of renal calcium leak and impaired 25-hydroxylation of vitamin D secondary to hepatic parenchymal damage.
