- Abstract
The study did show significant survival benefit (TPFS, OS, OFPFS) in elderly patients treated with sequential chemoradiotherapy compared to treatment with radiotherapy alone. The pathological type of esophageal cancer in patients in the study by Watanabe et al. was AdenocarcinomaSquamous cell carcinoma13% adenocarcinoma and 87% squamous cell carcinoma21% adenocarcinoma and 79% squamous cell carcinoma Q 9.
