- Abstract
The article presents a study on the relationship between human monocytic ehrlichiosis (HME), Amur honeysuckle, lone star ticks and their hosts by University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagn assistant professor Brian Allan. It states that a strong link was found between the four factors after analysis of natural areas in the St. Louis, Missouri region. According to U.S. Geological survey (USGS) veterinary medical officer Erik Hofmeister, the research can have immediate applications.
