- Abstract
The aim of the study was evaluate the therapy effect of thalidomide in the 4T1 mammary carcinoma. 4T1 cells suspension were injected in the posterior left flank of all animals to obtain the solid tumor. After, the Balb/c mice were divided into two groups of seven mice. After 5 days the treated group received, orally, 150mg/kg of thalidomide for 7 days or solution saline. Tumors were measured every 48 hours until the end of treatment. Blood was collected to hematology analyses. Our results suggest that thalidomide therapy increase the number of circulating leukocytes and this response is accompanied of the decrease in the tumor growth.
