- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the perceptions of patients and health care providers about the safety of care being provided in rural general practice. It cites the significant role of patient-centered care in ensuring patient safety and better health care quality. It adds that the idea of obtaining patients' perception about healthcare has been developed through the promotion of the health care standards formulated by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
