The ABEI Journal: The Brazilian Journal of Irish Studies has released its General Issue 26.1, showcasing the growth of Irish studies worldwide. The articles and reviews in this issue explore various topics within Irish scholarship and beyond, including literature from outside Ireland. Topics covered include hunger in Colum McCann's Dancer, translations and illustrations of James Joyce's work for young readers, family relationships in Sally Rooney's Normal People, issues of identity in Sebastian Barry's Days Without End, alterity in Le Fanu's Carmilla, comparative analysis of Portuguese and Irish poetry, and the perspective of minor literature in Séan O'Casey's The Plough and the Stars.
