- Abstract
This article addresses the issue of duplicated efforts and high costs associated with the separate implementation of the NTC-ISO 21001:2019 and NTC 5580:2011 standards in language training institutions. The NTC-ISO 21001:2019 establishes requirements for a quality management system in educational organizations, focusing on improving teaching - learning processes and meeting the needs of students and other stakeholders. On the other hand, NTC 5580:2011 defines specific requirements for language training programs, ensuring the quality and relevance of these programs. The main objective of this article is to propose the integration of both standards through the Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle, in order to improve the quality of education and learning in these institutions. For this purpose, a qualitative documentary approach with descriptive exploratory scope was adopted. Based on a thorough review of the standards' requirements and the identification of common and specific requirements, an action plan was structured for the implementation of an integrated system in an educational institution. It is concluded that this integration allows for resource optimization, process reduction, and improved transparency in operations, significantly contributing to the quality of language training. Additionally, it provides a structured framework that facilitates continuous evaluation and improvement of educational programs, ensuring that students acquire essential competencies to face the challenges of the globalized world.
