- Abstract
The author explores the controversies surrounding the introduction of vaccines to the immunization schedule. She reports about the introduction of the first publicly funded meningococcal group B (MenB) meningitis vaccination for babies born in July 2015 onwards and details the case of a 2-year-old who died from MenB and who was reportedly refused of the vaccine for being outside the age range. She also discusses the reasons the MenB vaccine was included only in the infant immunization schedule.
