- Abstract
The article focuses on the effects of the process approach of teaching elementary science upon the measurement of the intelligence levels of disadvantaged children. Experiences in reasoning as well as logical thinking are important component in higher intelligence levels in children. Significantly, the study aims to determine the relationship of the process approach type of teaching in raising general intelligence. Furthermore, a nonrandomized, control-group, pretest-posttest design for matched pairs have been used in the study. The author points out that the application of the process approach has helped disadvantaged children the ability to think rationally.
