- Title
The Denning Campaign: Departure from Previous Decisions.
- Abstract
The article discusses a campaign led by Lord Denning to establish the principle that the House of Lords' Practice Statement should apply to the Court of Appeal as well. Lord Denning stated that the court should be free to depart from previous decisions if it is convinced that the decision was wrong. The House of Lords may never have an opportunity to correct the error in the decision. Before the error is corrected, justice is already delayed and often denied.
