- Abstract
Comment on "Do post-operative phone calls enhance family satisfaction and outcomes after outpatient pediatric urological surgeries? Our other observation is that day surgeries (outpatient surgeries) do not affect fathers' anxiety levels as much as minor and major surgeries, whereas mothers have higher anxiety levels than fathers regardless of the type of surgery [[2]]. In the study of Kim et al. [[1]], the main purpose of post-operative phone calls is to increase family satisfaction, and direct parents to appropriate outpatient resources within 48 h after surgery, thereby reducing unnecessary healthcare costs.
