- Abstract
The article focuses on a study which examines the behavior of viscous additives in oils during thermomechanical action. The study concentrates on the assessment of the thickening ability of polymeric additives, proneness to degradation, mobility at low temperatures, and other typical properties associated with the peculiarities of action of polymers. It states that the number of particles and their size depend on the base composition as well as on the structure and composition of the polymers.
