Kellogg on the use of Vygotsky's zone of proximal development (ZPD) construct in L2 research, Vygotsky's sociocultural theory (SCT), as well as the basic errors in L2 research as presented by Kellogg including the focus on microgenesis rather than ontogenesis, and recruiting adult learners instead of children.
