- Abstract
Under the theoretical framework of good educational practices based on active methodologies for competency learning, the main objective of this research is to evaluate the didactic effectiveness in terms of the development of historical thinking in a service-learning project consisting in the creation of an audioguide for children for the museum of a Roman theatre by pre-service teachers. Quantitative data are provided on the involvement of the participants in relation to their academic success. We also analyzed the historical and narrative rigor of the scripting of museum information. Finally, we provide indicators of dissemination of the historical thinking generated. Didactic efficacy is verified, with a high implication correlated with academic success, a creative and historically well-founded dialogic narrative, adapted to the users' psychocognitive development, and a contrasted didactic and social transfer. The results demonstrate the value of active learning methods for historical thinking, which must also be developed in museums.
