- Abstract
This article aims to develop a model to define and determine the intrinsic and extrinsic quality and belief-related attributes that influence purchase intent for organic unprocessed foods, as well as the influence of the knowledge thereof on the consumption by the population in extreme poverty in Hermosillo, Sonora (Mexico). To meet the proposed target, we developed field work with a sample of 382 respondents in 10 colonies. The analysis methodology used was the structural equation modeling (SEM). Three of five hypotheses were contrasted, whereby it can be inferred that "knowledge" is a key element in purchase intent of population in extreme poverty.
