- Title
"Aesthetic Disclosure" An Educator Reimagines Confession.
- Authors
Birden, Susan
- Abstract
The author expresses her opinion on the theory of philosopher Michel Foucault about the effects of gender in confessional discourse. She believes that the confessional theory of Foucault seeks attention since it serves as a framework of his comprehensive vision of domination that implicates education. She also asserts that the need to reexamine his theoretical claims is a philosophical concern and a practical issue that faces teachers in schools and universities, religious institutions, and religious centers.
