- Abstract
The article discusses the potential safety concerns in using the artificial intelligence chatbot 'ChatGPT' for perioperative patient communication in the field of Urology. The study evaluated the quality and safety of the medical advice provided by ChatGPT in the context of transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), one of the most common urological procedures. While ChatGPT was able to provide helpful and accurate information in some cases, it also occasionally presented incorrect information and conflicting responses. The study highlights the limitations of language models like ChatGPT and suggests caution when relying on them for medical advice. Further research and development are needed before AI chatbots can be widely used in clinical settings.
