The article offers information on caffeine, a chemical compound in coffee, through an evidence-based systematic review. It discusses the allergies and side-effects associated with prolonged intake of caffeine. It advices cautious intake of caffeine in people with elevated blood lipids, osteoporosis and with weakened immune systems. It also discusses the possible side-effects of caffeine in pregnancy and breast-feeding females.
