- Abstract
In the article "The Rational Design of Low-Barrier Fluorinated Aluminum Substrates for Anode-Free Sodium Metal Battery," the authors discuss the challenge of designing efficient current collectors for anode-free sodium metal batteries. They propose a solution that involves annealing and fluorination processes to create a fluorinated aluminum substrate, which enhances the negative electrode reversibility. When combined with an ionic liquid electrolyte, this fluorinated aluminum substrate improves the performance of anode-free batteries, resulting in high Coulombic efficiency.
