- Abstract
The article profiles photographer Charles Clifford, an Englishman living in Madrid, Spain. Clifford worked as court photographer to Queen Isabella II and became a member of the Société Française de Photographie and the Photographic Society of London, England. His works include "Vistas del Capricho" which is an album of photographs of the Palace of the Dukes del Infantado, the photograph of Queen Victoria in the Orangery at Windsor Castle in England, and the "Bulletin de la Socié té Française de Photographie" which focuses on the permanent positive printing and the process of the preservation of the collodion plate in a moist state.
