- Abstract
The article focuses on the criteria and obstacles of biomarkers for clinical practice application. It mentions several obstacles encountered by the clinical implementation of the use of biomarkers including inadequate validation, inconsistent evidence, and inadequate evidence of clinical utility. Furthermore, the requirement to overcome obstacles to allow the progression of clinical practice and implementation must incorporate inputs from disciplines working together and multipronged approaches.
