- Abstract
An essay is presented on gender complexity in Martinique and Guadeloupe. The author cites the study by Omise'ke Natasha Tinsley which focuses on the issues of potential female masculinities and male femininities which include the individuals identified as transsexuals. He says that gender and its related issues such as same-sex sexual activities and cross-dressing have became topics of discussions in the said areas.
