- Abstract
The article presents a case of a three-months old boy presented with history of recurrent seizures since 35 days of age. A 10 milligram of biotin, twice a day was administered to the child who was extremely lethargic and sleepy with poor cry, sucking, and motor activity. The child was free from seizure two days after starting biotin which demonstrates the importance of suspecting biotinidase deficiency in any young infant with drug resistance seizures and encephalopathy.
