- Abstract
The behaviour during the work hardening of low carbon–manganese (0·15%C–1·39%Mn) steel with an ultrafine ferritic grain structure was investigated using Jaoul–Crussard analysis. This microstructure was produced through out quenching, warm rolling and intercritical annealing at 800°C. The steel exhibited a high strain hardening exponent and tensile strength.
