- Abstract
The article discusses research on the cell biology of mitotic spindle. It references the study "Integrating High-Throughput Genetic Interaction Mapping and High-Content Screening to Explore Yeast Spindle Morphogenesis," by F. Vizeacoumar et al published in this same issue. To monitor spindle morphology, the researchers used yeast deletion library and synthetic genetic array (SGA). They found that sumoylation of Mcm21, a component of CTF19 complex, is needed to localize the chromosomal passenger complex (CPC) complex to the spindle midzone.
