- Abstract
The article discusses the study which uses the synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2A (SV2A) radioligand with positron emission tomography (PET), as alternative approach in measuring synaptic density in the human brain. The study examines the characteristics of pharmacokinetic and imaging properties of UCB- J and nerve binding and the changes in synaptic density resulting to risk of epilepsy in patients. The also notes the measurements of nerve flow between epileptic patients and healthy humans.
