- Abstract
The article describes the case of an 11-year-old white girl with idiopathic inflammatory myopathies. The girl developed scalp flaking and a red pruritic facial rash, followed by scaling, palpable erythema over the knuckles, shoulders, arms and legs. The diagnosis and epidemiology of the disease are discussed. The pathogenesis and treatment for idiopathic inflammatory myopathies are explored.
