- Abstract
Eight patients underwent thrombolytic therapy (IV t-PA for five and mechanical thrombectomy for three patients). In a Japanese population-based study, the proportion of IS patients who arrived to the hospital within 3 h of onset was only 26%.[2] In contrast, the proportion of driving-related IS patients who arrived within 3 h of onset seems to be high. Interestingly, none of the 12 patients who caused the RTA had sustained bodily injuries that could have precluded thrombolytic therapy.
