- Title
Reply to "Letter Concerning" Vision Therapy: Ocular Motor Training in mTBI.
- Authors
Barton, Jason J. S.; Ranalli, Paul J.
- Abstract
The papers he cites as supportive of post-trauma vision syndrome are old reviews of a dual visual processing theory, one dealing mainly with split-brain monkeys.4,5 Neither provides any specific evidence or discussion regarding mTBI. 9 Padula WV, Argyris S. Post trauma vision syndrome and visual midline shift syndrome. We appreciate Dr Padula's interest in our review.1 While the review focused on ocular motor training for mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), we also expressed concern about the validity of the term "post-trauma vision syndrome", primarily because (1) as used, it refers to more than just visual symptoms (see our Table1), and (2) it has not been established that all the listed symptoms are due to visual dysfunction.
