- Abstract
The article discusses the authors' views about the causes of wrongful convictions (WCs) and rightful exonerations, and it mentions America's criminal justice system, criminal law cases in the country, and the claim that prosecutorial misconduct is not the primary cause of WCs in the U.S. Eyewitness misidentifications and false confessions are examined, along with a proposal for DNA testing and functional magnetic resonance imaging to be available to defendants to demonstrate their innocence.
