- Abstract
The article explores the organization of the circadian clock system in mammalian retina and its contribution to the general circadian organization of mammals. Findings reveal that the retinal circadian clock system controls gene transcription and visual processing. Data also shows that the interaction between the retinal and suprachiasmatic nucleus clock may play a significant role in mammals' general circadian organization.
