- Authors
Tao, Franklin (Feng)
- Abstract
The article discusses the catalytic activity of precious-metal-based alloy nanoparticles that can be considered as the summation of the catalytic performances of all types of active sites on the surface of a catalyst. It mentions the correlation between the catalytic performance of a catalyst and the atomic details of a catalytic site on the catalyst surface. It notes the termination of the crystallographic lattice that renders electronic state of atoms on the surface of a metal nanoparticle.
