- Abstract
The article focuses on the role of law enforcers as partner of the school districts in disciplining students and the models used for public school discipline. An overview of the past practices to bridge the gap between the academic and social development of students and crime prevention, law enforcement and maintenance of peace in the campus is presented. Mentioned are the School Resource Officers (SROs), federal funding for police in schools and the zero tolerance implementation.
