- Abstract
A case study of 60-year-old male with myotonic dystrophy type 1 is presented who was admitted for elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy. His symptoms include weakness of the upper limbs with dysarthria, mild static swallowing impairment, soft voice and dilated cardiomyopathy. He was administered rocuronium and sugammadex as muscle relaxants and no twitches were observed with train-of-four (TOF) stimulus after the surgery.
