- Abstract
Comments on J.K. Holopainen and P. Peltonen's nutrient retranslocatoon hypothesis. Comparison of the results with Hamilton and Brown's claim that some species of aphids have evolved the capacity to use these colors as a signal of the presence of good nitrogenous food; Herbivores which has evolved to feed upon those parts of plants which contain higher levels of soluble amino acids.
