- Abstract
Objective To investigate the influencing factors and clinical features of cognitive dysfunction in elderly patients with chronic heart failure and left ventricular ejection fraction <45%. Methods 98 patients with chronic heart failure who had a left ventricular ejection fraction of <45%and aged ≥65 years from December 2016 to December 2018 were selected as subjects. The simple intelligent mental state examination scale(Mini-mental) was used. State Examination,MMSE Cognitive function assessment of this group of patients,MMSE < 27 as cognitive dysfunction, comparison and collection of cognitive dysfunction in elderly patients with heart failure and cognitive function in normal elderly patients with heart failure Data were used to analyze risk factors affecting cognitive function in patients with heart failure using Logistic regression. RESULTS: Cognitive dysfunction in elderly patients with heart failure was higher in older patients with cognitive-functioning heart failure, higher proportion of non-educational history, higher proportion of patients with diabetes history, and left ventricular ejection The scores were lower (P < 0.05),and the differences between the groups were statistically significant. After age, education history, diabetes history, and left ventricular ejection fraction were included in Logistic regression, advanced age(OR=1.14,95%CI 1.07~1.18),no education (OR=0.46,95% CI 0.25~0.84) Low left ventricular ejection fraction (OR=0.91, 95%CI 0.88 ~ 0.97)may be a risk factor for cognitive dysfunction in patients with chronic heart failure. Conclusion Patients with chronic heart failure have a higher incidence of cognitive impairment. Older age,no education, and decreased left ventricular ejection fraction can be used as independent risk factors for cognitive dysfunction.
