- Abstract
The article presents a case of a 4-year-old boy in the U.S. with a 3-day history of mildly itchy livid papules and pseudovesicules coalescing in streaks on the left leg. It states that scattered lesions were present on the right leg, buttocks, and lower abdomen. Twelve hours before the onset of the eruption, the child had a fever and a sore throat, each of which had lasted for a day. The rash began on the left thigh, near the popliteal fossa, and spread within 48 hours.
