- Abstract
On page 1581, Jinsong Huang and co‐workers report the synthesis of the ferroelectric polymer poly(vinylidenefluoride‐trifluoroethylene) (P(VDFTrFE)) nanocrystals using a simple solution method. The pre‐formation of ferroelectric P(VDF‐TrFE) nanoparticles avoids the need for a post‐annealing process and provides excellent control of the morphology of the P(VDF‐TrFE) nanocrystal interfacial layer. This provides a new, low‐cost interfacial layer material for organic solar cells to optimize their efficiency. The material is compatible with any low bandgap semiconducting polymer, without restrictions on thermal processes.
