- Abstract
The article discusses the urgent need for healthcare professionals in the UK to take childhood asthma seriously, following the tragic death of a 10-year-old boy from asthma. The boy had been sent home from the hospital without proper treatment and subsequently died. The article highlights the high number of asthma deaths in children in the UK, the failure to implement recommendations to prevent these deaths, and the recurring preventable risk factors. It emphasizes the need for national action, improved medical management, and education to prevent asthma attacks and deaths in children.
