- Title
Stem cells: Replication stress makes HSCs feel old.
- Authors
Minton, Kirsty
- Abstract
The article provides information on a research about haematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). It reveals that in the absence of detectable DNA breaks, old HSCs have increased levels of replication stress. Previous studies have depicted that HSCs' function declines with age, which resulted to impaired immunity in older people.
